In this episode of Enter the Portal, I interview Joey Wargachuk, the marketing wizard behind the Happy Soul crystal stores in Toronto, and the Wargachuk Academy on Udemy courses.

Joey is on a mission to live a life full of magic, fun, and spirituality. Inspired by magical literary characters and the esoteric influences of his adoptive grandmother, Joey talks about embracing his psychic gifts at a young age and learning as much as he can about reiki, tarot, and crystal energy.

Joey went on to study fashion and digital marketing and left a lucrative position to work at Happy Soul.  He talks about how the online crystal market has dramatically shifted over the last decade, especially after the pandemic.

I ask him about the journey from doing in-person workshops at the store to building one of the most popular collections of crystal workshops and tarot courses on Udemy. 

Joey talks about the biggest misconceptions about crystals saying, “Crystals prove that magic and science are the same thing. They're just different languages.“  We discuss the best ways to clear crystals without damaging them, tips for beginners working with crystal energies, and his morning routine which includes gem water and beeswax candles.
